ABOUT

"Fragile Rhino"

Fragile Rhino tells a personal story through art and other mediums to create greater awareness of the current state of rhinos with the ultimate goal of developing a Rhino Sanctuary on Mount Camdeboo by uniting with like-minded Game Reserves and NGO’s in the fight to save our Rhino.

“Fragile” has been birthed after four dearly loved rhinos and one unborn baby rhino were killed for their horns on Mount Camdeboo private game reserve over the last year 2014/15.

Fragile Rhino is our heartfelt reaction to these heinous crimes and aims to share the pain that we as a team, family, guests and greater community have felt. In so doing we add our voice, mind, money and hands to the many that are already out there doing all that they can to save this iconic species.

Our Goals are:

To unite with like-minded Game Reserves, NGO’s and Initiatives that are working to save rhinos in Southern Africa.

To develop a multilayer solution in the form of a rhino sanctuary model that will be sustainable and have the ability to be replicated throughout Southern Africa. Working with the already long list of experts, NGO’s, and interested parties out there that are interested in refining the model.

To generate funds by the sale of collectable artworks that reflect the current state of rhino which is Fragile. We will also encourage people to donate to our cause.

To add our voice to the many voices that are already out there to create better awareness about the current state of rhino.

To tell the “Fragile Rhino” story and explore the many issues that face rhino through the various mediums and initiatives.
